The class of 2003 is sworn in as licensed merchant mariners. £ o Ytars, At kil ,0£ PollA-t... In 60 years, there have been 67 commencements at the USMMA. During World War II, there was more than one commencement per year. During the Vietnam War, one class graduated a number of months early. On June 23, 2003, the Class of 2003 proudly joined the ranks of Kings Point alumni. The weekend leading up to the big event included an awards convocation, change of command ceremony, graduation ball and the baccalaurate service. Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge addressed the graduating class, and after a few hours of pomp and ceremony under the |un on Tomb Field, the gradautes' covers went into the air. Mission acbomplished. Another group of Kings Pointersjoins the tradition of Acta Non Verba! 14 Looking good at the Graduation Ball!
