KINGS POINT SOFTBALL For any new team sport, may it be football, baseball, or softball, the first seasons of a new team are usually the most difficult. It is a time for the team’s goals to be oriented around building the team. This takes experience and practice. This was true for the women’s soft- ball team this season. Only in their second season as a varsity sport, the Mariners had a season record of 2-17. They took on a tougher schedule playing some of the best Div. Ill programs in the area. Their two wins were against N.Y. Maritime and N.Y.U. Some of the squad’s top players were Christy Gray, Amie Heath, Chris Riccelli, and Sandi Dugan. Good luck next season. 1995 KP SOFTBALL: FIRST ROW: Stacey Fairbairn, Emma Wilson, Amie Heath, Shelia, Christina Riccelli. SECOND ROW: Sandy Dugan, Gigi Lewis, Carrie Gallagher, Kathleen Jakubowski, Thuy Nguyen, Coach Brown TOP ROW: Christy Gray, Holly St. George, Jenny Darnell. Lenin Toala, Diana Aguirre. Keep your eye on the ball Stacy!!!

KINGS POINT LAX: KNEELING: (I to r): Allen Arthur, Paul Frizzel, Chris Deschenes, Bur, Horn-yak, Mike Heffernan, Pete Keegan, Brian Kalman, Eric Winn, Lou Trinh, Mark Marien. Mil Hamilton, Clancy Cornwall STANDING: Dave Bish, Matt Bligh, Paul Martinolich, Harr Haugeto, Tom McShane, John Shaw, Matt Glasser, Jaime Bren nan, Mike DiStefino, Dave Sestih Jeremy Fisher, Khary Hembree-Bey, Ryan Hughes, Chris Paul, Frank Rabena, Coach Gill. The title above can easily describe Kings Point Lacross this season. The team was ready and waiting to play anyone. After a long winter of seating in O’Hara or freezing on the parking lot at the Nassau Coliseum, Coach Gill set some pretty high but very attainable goals for the team. In the end the Mariners had a record on 7-6, the Hudson Division Championship, an appearance in the ECACs, and most importantly, and 2nd consecutive victory in the Maritime Tourna- ment. It can defiantly said that the team owns the tournament. Every game this sea- son was exciting and quality college lacrosse. Two of the high scorers were Allen Arthur and Clancy Cornwall who assisted in a team average of 10.5 goals per game. Both were named to the Hudson Valley All-Star team for attack and Mike Heffernan was awarded for his job on midfield. On defense, goalie Peter Keegan held the opposition to an aver- age of 7.5 goals per game. Defensemen Frank Rabena and Jaime Brennan were also awarded for their job on defense. It was great season and every player should be proud of the teamwork that they helped to contribute. Good luck next season. This isn’t high school lacrosse!!!” RIGHT: Chris Deschenes looking for an outlet and maybe an assist. KINGSPOINTLAX “Bring The Noise”
