K.P. Swimmers at Trenton State Coach Flannery and John Louy Left: Capt. Previll off the starting block Right: Barnekov, Batalden, Single, Vey, Rydzewski, Jones, Mowrey, Darnell, St. George Below: Ready for METs! Berault, Gus, Louy, Salkeld Both Kings Point swimming teams made waves of their own this season. The men finished the regular season with a 6-5 record and a 2nd place at the MET Championships, while the women swam to a 7-7 mark and a fourth-place finish at the MET Championships. The top swimmers for the men’s squad were Aubrey Gabriel along with juniors David Berault and John Louy. Berault was the team’s top 1,000freestyle and 200 backstroker while Gabriel handled the 100 and 200 freestyle events. John Louy turned in top times in the 200 butterfly. The women’s team was led by senior Kristi Jones, junior Michelle May, sophomores Lauren Barnekov and Jessica Movery, and freshman Christina Rydzewski. Their biggest wins on the regular season came over St. francis and adelphi, which are bothDiv. I programs. The four swimmers to qualify for finals in the MET Championships were Barnekov, Jones, Movery, and Rydzewski.
