This man, although virtually unknown to many, has one of the most colorful pasts of any faculty member at the academy. He is our command chaplain who wears a Navy uniform. However, his roots began as a Marine Corps pilot, flying CH-46's in Vietnam. To give you an idea of just how great an officer Chaplain Allen was, and is, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross during his tour of duty there. He was also the Honor Man (finished first) in his company upon graduation from OCS. He is hands down the most decorated officer found on campus today. Chaplain Allen can always be found with a kick in his step and a smile on his face.
