SENIORS For this class, the past three years hold many memories. Those years were filled with the happiest moments, and the saddest disappointments. The sophomore year, our first in senior high, was the most difficult; that year we chose our curriculums. Confusion reigned for the first few days, but eventually we settled nicely into our new schedules. Under the leadership of our president, Andy Pisarcik, we sponsored a dance, the Sophomore Stomp, on March 16. Our junior year began as smoothly as our sophomore year had ended. Once again the class chose Andy Pisarcik as its leader. Happiness encircled us as we sponsored dime dances, bake sales, and the junior class dance. All these activities helped to launch a successful Oriental Enchantment Jr.-Sr. Prom on April 24. But also that year we felt the sting of tragedy when a well-loved member of our class, Jim Halaburda, was taken from our midst by an automobile accident. We will never forget the lessons that experience taught us in our second year of senior high. This year has proved to be even greater than the previous two. With John Fletcher as our leader we sponsored many activities. Composed of seniors, the yearbook and newspaper staffs, met the demands of an anxious student body. From our ranks, the May Queen and her court were chosen. During the past three years, 143 students have prepared for many different fields. When the class of 1965 leaves United you will not see the timid children that arrived here six years ago, but confident young men and women looking forward to new horizons.
