Armagh, Pa., April 18, 1941. Dear Faculty Members, The Senior Class of 1941, wish to thank you for everything you have done for us, for the kind help and patience you have exercised to teach us the fundamentals of life. We wish to thank each teacher individually: Mr. Jack, for his patience in trying to get the fundamentals of Every- day American Democracy securely fixed in our minds. Through his teach- ing we all hope to become better citizens. Mr. Aikey, for drilling us in rules and exercises which will keep our bodies in a fit and healthy condition. Also for his good football and basket- ball coaching, which has helped win the games and has given the students a pride in their school. Miss Mellinger, who has given many helpful suggestions in trying to make this book a success and has directed all of the plays that we have presented. She has also won our favor in teaching us Latin and Mathe- matics. Mr. Barker, who has been coaching us in the practice of good English and giving us practice in speaking before a group of people. He has also been organizing a band and orchestra which gives prestige to the school. Mr. Mack, for having applied himself diligently to teach us American History, which has taught us to respect and love our country and have a more patriotic interest in her since we know her background. Miss North, our new commercial teacher, for her help in making sec- retaries and stenographers out of us. She has succeeded in her field. Mr. Schrock, the man who is a whiz at agriculture, for his patient work in trying to make farmers out of our boys. Also for his coaching in soil conservation and other useful things about nature. Mr. Simmons, our Academic teacher, who through the teaching of his course has taught us things about real life. If his advice be followed one will never get hurt neither by chemicals nor by electricity. We again wish to thank you for all the privileges you have given us. We wish to apologize for all of the headaches we have caused you and in the future will try to live up to the standards you have taught us. Sincerely your, SENIOR CLASS OF 1941.
