A few members of the band were selected to play in the city-wide Statehood Day Band. All activi- ties of both choir and band were climaxed at the music banquet. Jack Rupert and Tammy Nelson were selected Mr. and Miss Music. Helen Huffman received the Choral Award and Tammy Nelson received the John Philip Sousa Award. CONVE T10 ISHIGHPOI TOFYEAR JCL convention is the high point of the year for Latin stu- dents. At the convention clubs from all over the state compete against each other for points. There are costumes displayed, tests taken. and officers elected. Each school enters a quiz bowl team and a program similar to ln the Know is conducted. Our quiz bowl team was defeated in the first round by a narrow mar- gin.
