KDE CK THE HA LLSD Christmas and the Christmas spirit shone through the halls of Unioto this year. Every nook and cranny was decorated and every teacher. student. andjanitor smiled just a bit more as Christmas spirit overtook them. Freez- ing weather and snow added to the Christmas feeling. As JCL and Spanish carolers rounded the halls. teachers let up just a little on their tests, quizzes. and homework. But.just like anything else. Christmas ended. and things got hack into the normal routine. fx i f its . -4 ..i f'1. f Hx, W2 W il 1'Si',Nf'2s,55'tQ5'.TYQ5 Eglin , ,t fr r C is e I .ffififtifffiGElifl????l2ii42E?:55254 ., f ,, Wtarmnwaie. f waswx.1513??igsia5fg-M235wats:,Q24+:f?.g!si:w5gi.fLeiizsrgzzsix 3tgggwgsesgx4,z1tl!.i.E',-E.5,Swa g t El w ggitis mfs, Qgieialigf, A?'5??ff1gigg:53ggQQgL5i5iw4 , 5 ,,,N i, v . v t.sig.gs.1tazf1tv,1a55, f 'I' .jyggggj rjggkgffrfygiiggezgsiqkikg 5111 Q' 'lf 5251 glial '!:erg7,:r,. T encing both victories and defeats. the Varsity girls' basketball team ended the season with a 4-8 record. The season was perhaps disappointing. but much was learned from it nonetheless. For example. the team learned that it is next to impossible to out-rebound a girl that is 6'4 . They also learned that playing the number one team in the state isn't always easy. Learning to play as a team was somewhat difficult. but by the end of the season. the team had mastered it. There were games in which the score was close and other games in which the score was not so close. In both cases. at the close of the game. hands were shaken and all was well. All efforts were rewarded at the sports banquet where Kelly Jadwin received the most improved trophy. Jocelyn Hedges received the most rebounds and sportsmanship trophies. and Tammy Nelson received the most points and four . year trophies. Mrs. Straight. the coach, was thanked for her time and efforts. 'T Tammy Nelson - 4 year letterman. Jocelyn Hedges - l year letterman. Most Points 4. Co-captain 4. Ross Most Rebounds 4. FACULTY When the Columbus Sixer's play the Unioto faculty. the result is fun. The fac- ulty lost. but Bob Malott was high scorer. At one time, the Sixer's played baseball. and one time it even got too bright in the gym and Bob Allen had to put his sun- glasses on. The Sixer's toured all of South- ern Ohio playing charity games. and Unioto was lucky enough to have them play here.
