T encing both victories and defeats. the Varsity girls' basketball team ended the season with a 4-8 record. The season was perhaps disappointing. but much was learned from it nonetheless. For example. the team learned that it is next to impossible to out-rebound a girl that is 6'4 . They also learned that playing the number one team in the state isn't always easy. Learning to play as a team was somewhat difficult. but by the end of the season. the team had mastered it. There were games in which the score was close and other games in which the score was not so close. In both cases. at the close of the game. hands were shaken and all was well. All efforts were rewarded at the sports banquet where Kelly Jadwin received the most improved trophy. Jocelyn Hedges received the most rebounds and sportsmanship trophies. and Tammy Nelson received the most points and four . year trophies. Mrs. Straight. the coach, was thanked for her time and efforts. 'T Tammy Nelson - 4 year letterman. Jocelyn Hedges - l year letterman. Most Points 4. Co-captain 4. Ross Most Rebounds 4.
