CD The Jr. High football team receives their certificates as they prepare for the varsity team in the future. Q21 Smile girls, youire being recognized. Q35 Scott Brumfield, Dan Anders, and Shag Rutherford are honored for being the only three year lettermen on the team. I T'S A FALL SPORTS ASSEMBLY Athletes who participated in football, volleyball, tennis, and cheerleading during the fall were honored at the Fall Sports Assembly. Bob Fetters received the football sportsmanship award and also a four year trophy for being team manager. In volley- ball Jana Kane received an RCL trophyfor most spikes. Lynn Blevins received a plaque from the RCL and Tammy Nelson was awarded honorable mention and the RCL sportsmanship award. Jackie Rahe was named the most valuable tennis player. The best doubles award was shared by Susan Kozar, Kris Garrison and Peggy Scholl. Pat Allen and Joce- lyn Hedges received senior awards. Cheerleaders were given awards for football' Sandy Bair, Pam Jones, and Michele Williams all received four year awards. The other cheerleading squads received their respective awards.

A NEW TWIST TO PARENTS' NIGHT Parents, Night held a new twist this year with a parade of some- thing extra - homecoming floats. Since homecoming was a bit dampened, the class floats were saved for another special night. The Hillsboro Indians may have thought we were a bit strange when we paraded floats around that said, Beat Tigersj, but nevertheless, the spirit remained high. Shortly, the tradi- tional honoring of parents pro- ceeded and the night seemed more recognizable as Parents, Night. The team seemed to try extra hard that night and the fans were filled with bursting spirit at this, one of the last football games of the season. fly Floats on Parents' Night?
