BI CEN TEN N IA L BA D Being a member of the Unioto band can be quite enjoyable. Getting into all the football games free, performing in front of loyal fans, and marching in various parades are only a few advantages of utilizing that special talent of playing a musical instrument. The band marched this year with the largest number of members in Uniotols history. It seems the football team is not the only group that has injuries, our band had some injuries of its own. In fact, one member had to be carried off the field, but the band played on, for the show must go on. A new banner and lighted batons highlighted the band's marching season. This year, several members were chosen to be a part of the Bicentennial Community band which con- sisted of high school band members from all schools rv Unioto Marching Band - Banner Carriers - Tracy Carnes, Barb Scholl. MAJ ORE TTES HA The summer of 1975 stepped off the coming marching season for the Unioto majorettes. Superior ratings made all the practice worthwhile for the girls while they attended majorette camp at Marietta Col- lege. The girls practiced in the summer heat to twirl in the pouring rain at the Ross County Fair. Peanut but- ter and crackers were the menu of the week since the lines were so long in the only available cafeteria. In the early fall the majorettes won a second place ribbon marching at the Bainbridge Fall Festival of Leaves Parade. VE BUSY SEASON During the football season, the majorettes performed both their own routines and those learned at camp. The highlight performance was done on Parents' Night when they twirled chemically lighted batons as the band played Scorcher. The majorettes had a busy year and it easily showed through all of their accomplishments. Unioto 1975-76 Majorettes - Julia Davis, Kim Graves, Debbie Head majorette is Tammy George. Wheeler, Tammy George, Seana Elam, Cheryl Preston, Jackie Rahe.
