May 12, 1975, the editors of the Uniotoan first found out about the insur- mountable task that awaited them. fThree fools were to edit a yearbook - not a school newspaper, not an Easter magazine, not a football program, but a yearbookfj July 8, 1975, the quest for financial aid throughout the streets of Chilli- cothe encompassed the editors' whole summer. fWe had to get ads and lots of them. We got our ads and we also got turned away, blisters on our feet, and an illegal bank account.J September 18, 1975, Wes Mirick, the editors' consultant paid his first visit, and steady work began on the Uniotoan. fBoy, were we dumb, but somehow Wes pulled us through and we'd like to thank him. You know, we never did figure out which company he was from - Paragon or Taylor?j . February 5, 1976, the first sixteen pages were sent to Taylor. fWhat a relief, we three fools actually made our first deadline, but more was yet to come.j May 15, 1976, by this time Taylor Publishing Company has eighty pages of the '76 Uniotoan tucked away, and what comes in the mail but a notice from Paragon reminding the editors that as of yet, Paragon has received 0 pages. fWe were heartsick, but we finally got it all straightened out.j June 25, 1976, all pages are due to be in the hands of Taylor. fThe three fools officially missed their last deadline by a long waylj July 30, 1976, the balance of the pages is shipped to Taylor, and the year- book is completed. fHooray, hooray, praise the Lord, Whoopee, our insur- mountable task is completed, our trials and tribulations have ended., Weid now like to express our thanks and appreciation to everyone who helped with the Uniotoan. nfia-dwg QQ,-6, AND THA T'S THE WA YIT WAS'
