It is with great respect that this 1963 EAGLE MEMORIES is dedicated to Mr AMBROSE L. LAUNDRA who devoted 35 years of service to the teaching profession, 14 years of which were spent in our school and community. Upon receiving his degree from Central Michigan Teachers College, he served in a rural school, as Superintendent of the Fowler Schools, and in the Gagetown School before coming to Unionville in 1947. Mr. Laundra is well known in Unionville as our science teacher, but he also previously taught subjects in the commercial field. In addition to his abundant academic contributions Mr. Laundra has served as co-director of the science fairs, directed numerous class plays, served as a class advisor, and participated in many other school events. Always a willing helper, it is impossible to estimate the value of his contributions toward enriching the lives of his many students. Mr. Laundra is planning a well deserved retirement beginning January 1964. Our opinion of him as an exceptional and beloved teacher is shared by all who know him, and his absence will be felt with profound regret. May we extend our blessings and best wishes to a superior teacher and a great man.
