The FFA under the leadership of Mr. Donald Shaner, is made up of forty-four members. The annual FFA and FHA Fair was held on October 23 and 24. The Parent and Son Banquet was held in the High School Auditorium on January 22. The guest speaker was David Boyne, president of the Michigan Future Farmers of America. Two delegates, Gary Vandemark, Ed Vargo, and the advisor, Mr. Shaner, went to the State FFA Convention in East Lansing on March 26 and 27. Lynn Houthoofd topped the School Record in the 220 by sprinting in at 22. 6. He also set the shot put record at 41'8 . Lyle Houthoofd ran the 880 in 2:10.9, Bob Gangler broke his old record by flashing to a 4:43. 8 mile, and the 880 relay team broke the old record in 1:40. Four boys: Lynn Houthoofd, Lyle Houthoofd, Ted Wisneski, and Bob Gangler went to the state finals in East Lansing.
