Cartwright is on the search for a third baseman, short stop, and second baseman, as only Jerry Stevens remains at first from last season's slick fielding combination. Last year's outfield of Marvin Kramer, Lynn Houthoofd, and Jerry Fader returns intact but may be pressed by some good looking prospects from the freshmen and returning minor lettermen. Behind the bat Jack Hofmeister is back for his third season while pitchers Ray Baur, Duane Guenther and Don Jahr should provide a balanced staff.
