Little 7 Champions BACK ROW: Harvey Lich, Gerald Stevens, James Ewald, Mr. Cartwright, Captain Duane Guenther, James Bohn, Donald Currey. With only two boys back from last year's co-champs, everyone had UHS pegged for a lean year. After a slow start, this green, inexperienced but eager crew began to mesh into a unit that provided headaches for the opposition. Spirit and enthusiasm were evident all year. In addition, an unusually fine balance of scoring power showed up which seemed to uncover a different high point man each game and resulted in an offense which no one could afford to ignore. Without a doubt, the season finale with Mayville was the highlight of the year. Both teams had identical records of 10-1 and the league title rode on the game. In a superbly played game the Eagles came through in true championship style. The JV squad also came home a winner as they battled through to the co- championship of their league, winning 10 games and losing 2 with an overall record of 13-4 for the season. The Junior High squad made it a clean sweep of the Little 7, as they took their league crown and piled up an undefeated overall total of 8 victories and no losses.

Baseball BACK ROW: Melvin Bruneel, Robert Van Bevern, Mr. Cartwright. Ted Wisneski, Donald Gangler, James Ewald, Harvey Lich, Frank Salgat, Edmund Vargo, Jack Poppy. MIDDLE ROW; James Bohn, Roland Houth- oofd, Jerald Fader, Lynn Houthoofd, Jack Hofmeister, Gerald Stevens, James Wing, Robert Kamrad, Charles Carmody, Robert Gangler. BOTTOM ROW: Marvin Kramer, Raymond Baur, John Lich, Adam Singer, Lorain Berg, Fred Duryee, Duane Guenther, William Spencer. Last year's co-champions have been shot full of holes due to graduation. Cartwright is on the search for a third baseman, short stop, and second baseman, as only Jerry Stevens remains at first from last season's slick fielding combination. Last year's outfield of Marvin Kramer, Lynn Houthoofd, and Jerry Fader returns intact but may be pressed by some good looking prospects from the freshmen and returning minor lettermen. Behind the bat Jack Hofmeister is back for his third season while pitchers Ray Baur, Duane Guenther and Don Jahr should provide a balanced staff.
