I Here at U. H. S ..... Rather tranquilly, with little fanfare, our high school has built and grown and dreamed for thirty-three long years. From mere ideas and sketch- es of o high school it has grown to the stature of o man with ideals, yefl one who has his feet firmly planted in rich and enduring tradition This U. H. S. tradition is, perhaps, not entirely founded on places, things or achievements so much as the personalities which have enriched its being and inspired the ideals whichgwe recognize in our more modern high schools of today. Y S Abounding in local habits of obscure origin, our students lead a life entirely their own, often perplexing the more adult bystander. Hilarious laughter, jitterbuging, mass millions to Hagan's confuse and amuse our townspeople alike. Perhaps previous generations of students, like us, sat on the senior bench wondering where to move next. Perhaps they too thought their par- ticular class the best to pass through the academic portals of Uniontown Senior High School. Though some of their customs were dissimilar to ours, a common bond of loyalty and deep affection for U. H. S. has bound classes together for these thirty-three years and undoubtedly for the future as well. twelve
