Jack Frost,, secre- tary, Jolm Spurgeon, and treasurer, Claude Frost. 2nd SEMESTER STUDENT SENATE Will John was elected president of the second semester Senate which convened for the first time on February 13, 1933. SENIOR DRAMATIC CLUB The Senior Dramatic Club, meeting with INIrs. Alice Strosnider as sponsor, in Room 104 on alternate Wednesdays, completed a successful year ' s work in the study of dramatics and production. Sever al outside speakers were the guests of the club during the year. The annual senior class play The Boomerang , a three-act comedy was successfully staged with the cooperation of the club under Mrs Strosnider ' s able direction. The iirst semester ' s officers were: president. Kenneth Strick ' .er; vice-president, Jean Williams; secretary, Dorothy Crock: usher, Kenneth LaBarre; critics, Robert Darby and Gertrude Rodney. The leaders during the second semester were: president, David Bane; vice- president, Kenneth Strick ' .er; secretary, Naomi Caton; treasurer, Mary Louise Miller; usher, Don Duff; critics, William Chaney and Dorothy Crock. PHYSICS CLUB The Physics Club, sponsored by Mr. Norman H. Mitterling. physics instructor of U.H.S., is generally recognized as having presented the most interesting assembly program for the year 1932-33. The club met every Thursday in Room 209 and ex- perimented with various phases of Physics. George Trickett headed the club during the first semester while Abe Cohen acted as president during the second half of the year. SOCIETAS LATINA The members of the Societas Latina. which is sponsored by Miss Minnie Clutter, devoted most of their time to studying about the habits of ancient Romans. A very entertaining asseml)ly, jiresented by the club before Assembly A, consisted of a p ' .ay Rome and the Romans and several musical numbers. The annual picnic was held at Show ' s Grove on May 18. with mushliall as the chief diversion.
