U. H. S. CHAPTER, NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY The UnioTitown Chapter of the National Honor Society was very active during tlie past year. The Society sponsored the initial Better Ejiglish Week in U. H. S. ajid it was an outstanding success. In the spring the group was host to the Connells- Tille chapter at a Tea Dance. The officers for 1932-33 were: president, Kenneth Strickler-; vice-president, Beatrice M. Wood; secretary, Betty HocliheiTneT; treasurer, Fran-ces Hague Lead- ers elected recentlv to serve during 1S33-34 are Lewis Riley, Fred ScTiaffer, Anne Wright, and James Darby. Mr. Rodney D. Mosier, principal of Unlontown Senior Higli School, sponsored the organization. , PENNSYLVANIA CLUB The Pennsylvania Club, composed of Juniors and Seniors, fulfllled its program established and directed by Mr. John H. Duiin, sponsor of the club. Meeting on alternate Tuesdays in Room 207, the club enjoyed diversified programs consisting . of studies about Pennsylvania ' s history, customs, etc. During the year a number of faculty members addressed the group, including Mr. Rodney D. Mosier, x rincipal of Senior High. A very successful assembly was also produced. The meetings were brought to a close with an en.ioyable picnic attended by club members and guests. l ne officers for the first and second semesters, respectively, are as follows: Don Duff, Governor; Emma Jean Walters and Edna Ella Fee, Lieutenant Governess; Kathryn Vilscek and Betty Jane Conn, Secretarys of State; Glenn Holland and Donald Weller, Seargants at Arms.
