6'1iY C Magix?-all We began our Freshman year with thirty five pupils Helen Nelson enrolled the second semester making our enrollment thirty six We elected the following officers President Evelyn Ater, Vice President Loretta Vanatter, Secretary Milton McK1nnis, Trea surer Eugene Vanatter, Reporter Leland Harness, Cheerleader Loretta semester and Miss Meeker took her place as teacher and as our sponsor Our first party was with the Seniors when we journeyed to Fort Scott and went roller skating and to the show Blanche Severy and Glenn Brown dropped school the second se mester There were thirty seven to begin our Sophomore year W elected our class officers the second week of school They were as follows President Uvelyn Ater, Vice President Roger Ramsey, Secretary Helen Nelson, Treasurer Loretta Vanatter, Reporter Leland Harness, Cheerleader Helen Nelson, and Sponsor Mr Rudisell On our first class party we went skating at the Iola skating rink The Freshmen were our guests at the party We had chosen from our class for waiters and waitresses at the Junior Senior Banquet the following twelve people, Bernlta Stine and Eldon Luker, svelyn Ater and Bobby Todd, Lois Middleton and Eugene Vanatter, Jean Brower and Don Typer, Helen Nelson and Roger Ramsey, Loretta Vanatter and Charles Dare We began our Junior year with twenty seven pupils We chose as officers the following President Evelyn Ater, Vice President Shirley Felt, Secretary and Treasurer Lois Middleton, Reporter Theda Keith, Cheerleader Loretta Vanatter and Sponsor Miss Corpolongo We had a party early in the fall We went to the show and roller skating in Fort Scott Later in the year after our pie supper we went to Elm Creek Lake on a wiener roast Our Junior Play was a big hit and we realized a nice sum The name of the play was 'It's Papa Who Pays Charles Dare as the Papa and Shirley Felt as the Mama made a swell pair Bobby Todd and Loretta Vanatter had the usual brother and sister fights Marilyn Adamson as a spiteful Aunt did very well Others in the cast were Roger Ramsey, Barbara Koch, Don Typer, Bonnie Bolinger, Eugene Vanatter, Lois Middleton and Dale Mealman We had the concessions at the football and basketball games to raise money to have a banquet for the seniors. The Junior Senior Banquet went off very well. We had as our theme nDown Mexico Way.' An orchestra from Pittsburg furnished music for the dance after the banquet. When we enrolled as Seniors we had twenty-seven in our class. Lois Pulliam dropped out the second semester and Robert Roweth en- rolled the second semester. Charles Dalton and Charles Murphy en- rolled as new students at the beginning of the year, Our first party of the year was a wiener roast at Elm Creek Lake. Afterwards we went to Fort Scott to the roller rink. Later in the year we had a chili supper at the school house. One of the tasks of the year was putting out the annual. Theda Keith, Marilyn Adamson, Shirley Felt and Loretta Vanatter worked very hard to its completion. Next came the Senior Play The Adorable Imp , which was a big success. The cast was composed of six women and five men of whom had parts in the Junior Play. CN - 44 -in U J Vanatter, and Sponsor-Mrs. Pinner. Mrs. Pinner left us the last I - ' A . e in .

One of the high lites of the year which we looked forward to was the Junior Senior Banquet The banquet was as wonderful as we had expected and the Seniors all reported a grand time Last, but not least, Senior Sneak Q51 We had looked forward to it with great anticipation all through high school It was just as much fun as we had anticipated Seriously, I believe our class as a whole, has been a congen ial and ever we thought well behaved class we go out into the world may we all be successful in what shall never forget our high school days, and with this we leave dear old Uniontown High School .lags -..-EENN fffff d , ' at imagine friends Tanner, the Seniors of 1951, being of sound mind Ccan you that?D, leave our most cherished treasures to all our Illah Mae Mason, leave my place at the mirror to Donna my ability to get along with Carl Bowen to Nettie Pearson, and a lock of my hair to be put on the bulletin board I, Dale Mealman, will my art in shooting pool to fred Steele, my ability in skipping school to Bill McCollum, and my interest in Doris Hess to my brother Leo I, Charles Murphy, leave my belt to William Grose, my flame, Jo Griffith to Richard Adamson, and all my American History papers KI d1dn't hand ln? to Mary Lee Williams I, Roger Ramsey, will my ability in sports to Richard Wilson, my bookkeeping pad to Lois Luker, and all my pep to Raymond Hartman I, Robert Roweth, will my 'brains' to Philip Shull, and my talkativeness to Donna Brown I, Loretta Vanatter, leave my sewater fugure to Margie Murphy, my ability in catching a Boyd to Neva Stainbrook, and all my office and Veteran work to Clara Ludlum I, Theda Keith, leave my ability to get along with teachers to Don Swisher, my freckles to Virginia Ramsey, and my smooohing ability to Margie Stine I, Shirley Felt, leave my cute giggle to Irene Dozier, my ability to write notes to Norman Stine, and my piano playing to Fred Hunziker I, Marilyn Adamson, will my beloved hair to Barbara Robinson and Ivana Brittingham, my basketball ability to Mary Lou Smith, and my used boyfriends to Shirley Cowan I, Lois Middleton, will my office job to Joan Richard, my pep and vitality to Joan Robinson, and my ability to copy to Alberta Pearson I, Evelyn Ater, will my promptness to get to class to Margaret Bower, my basketball suit to Betty Evans, and my ability in catching a man to Jo Griffith. I, Bernita Stine, will my sparkling blue eyes to Gerald Davis, my place on the basketball team to Esther McKee, and my happy smile to Melvin Dozier, I, Bobby Todd, leave Elaine to be wooed but not won to Johnny McCoy, my ability to get along with Corpy to Johnny Davis, and my winning ways to Betty Norton. I, Charles Dare, will all my old girl friends to Albert Ward, my rabbit hunting ability to Jim Spangler, and my old typewriter to any poor kid that gets hold of it. 0 As ' - do. We u - S X We-- I.
