CLASS HISTORY Once upon a time about twelve years ago the class of '49 started on its long journey of school. Here it is twelve years later, and we are ending that journey In 1945 we entered high school. My, we were proud! We thought we were so grown up, but we found out differently when Freshmen Initiation came along. It was tough but also a lot of fun. Initiation is something that not one member of the class will ever forget. Dur mg our freshman year we gained Juanita Allen Paul Allen Jessie Belle Neuhaus Bill Marsh, and Wanda Reed Next came our sophomore year and it was our turn to initiate the freshmen this we did and with loads or fun During that year Gladys Harding Kaye Don Bow ers Mary Jo Summy Charlotte Camp Junior Wicke and Eugene Prather entered our class After the sophomore year came our junior year with Dick Feltman joining our class The first important event was the junior class play called Here Comes e Prince with the following cast Fred Halliday Dick Feltman Carol Jean Webb Joan Juanita Allen Granny Patty Davis Professor Chipper Paul Allen with many happy memories. Emie Williams Prince Rudolph Junior Wxcke The next event was receiving our class rings We were very excited and proud about them The last event was the prom Every member of the c ss worked hard getting everything in order for The B Night It turned out to be a successful event wit' Charlie Loehmuller furnishing the romantic dance music At last the year which we were all waiting for 1948 We were at last dignified seniors at least we were supposed to be Our first event was receiving our name cards and invitations. Then we had our pictures taken Working on the Chantzcleer was sorre thing we had all been looking forward to Next came our senior play which turned out to be a big success Then came the prom and we were going as guests instead of hosts.
