THE YOUTH PRAYER LEAGUE Several students attended a youth conference at Taylor University during March, and a number of them were converted. This led to the forming of a prayer band under the leadership of Mr. Odle. This group meets at the schoolbuilding every Tuesday evening. The services consist of hymn and chorus singing, prayers, talks, and discussion of problems common to youth. Interesting speakers are invited to speak and talented singers and players to provide musical entertainment. The Leaguc's theme song is Christ Living in Me. President, Rosemary Mohler Vice-president, Marilou Clifton Secretary and Treasurer, Junior Harrell Librarian, Joe Bryant Chorister, Patty Kepner Pianist, Ruth Eileen Long A well rounded program which consisted of marching, wrestling, boxing, tumbling, jiujitsu, basketball, baseball, commando course and high jumping have been interesting to all who participated.

MILITARY TRAINING CLASS The boys' physical education class has done much for the benefit of the boys that will soon be in the armed services. Mr. Odle, our coach, has shown many of the requirements necessary to keep up with the standards of the Marines. Many of the different types of marching, such as flank marching, marching in columns, and also the commands that are given for the different company movements that are necessary to keep in place during drill practice have been taught. GIRLS' MILITARY TRAINING Girls will he boys. In Union High School we have a few girls who have inspiration to become WAAC'S or WAVE'S. Under the direction of Mr. Odle the girls have been receiving a well rounded program consist- ing of marching, calisthenics, softball, rhythm cuts, and dodge ball. The girls have taken a lot of interest in these activities, and we know it has helped to fit them for whatever they may do in the future.
