CLASS TOURNAMENT This year the Union Township High School held their annual class tourney. The first game was played between the Seniors and Fresh- men with the Seniors victorious by a score of 32-18. The second game was played between the Juniors and sophomores with the Juniors vic- torious by a score of 30-11. The Seniors and Juniors met in a terrific battle and the Seniors were winners by a score of 43-24. I-lat's off to the out going Seniors. JUNIOR HIGH The Junior High basketball team roared through a six-game season with a very fine record. One of their most notable achievements was the winning of the County Junior! High tourney. The lack of height did not handicap these boys and they went on to defeat the larger teams in stride. The outstanding boys on the squad were Bob Graf, Max Downing, Bob Myers, Forest Foland, Melvin Myers, Gene Murphy and Bob Helms. Other members who contributed to the building of then team were Kepner, Brown, Kingery and Farrer who was student manager. Mr. Brown, their coach, did a fine job of teaching the boys various set-ups and worked hard with them.
