FRESHMEN President, Phil Hood. Vice President, Robert Gross Secretary and Treasurer, Wilda Gentis Sponsor, Mr. Brown. Freshmen Class History Last September, thirteen students entered Union High School as Freshmen. Wlien we first appeared, the Seniors seemed to think that we were not anything out of the ordinary. But the Seniors learned that we know what we want to do and that we are successfully making a place in Union High that will not soon be forgotten. The Unionette', and the Caravan,, have had some of our talented representatives, who gladly have rendered their literary services. We were represented on the Student Council. We have three more years in U.H.S. and mean to worlt for the benefit of the school we love and give it our support. Officers- EIGHTH GRADE The eighth grade consisted of seven members the first semester and two additional members the second semester making a total of nine mem- bers. At the end of the first semester we lost one member, jerry Lee. Our sponsor was Miss Wadsworth. M ax Kingery Student Council ,, .... Bobby Myers Year Book .................................... Julia Swope Our class held a party at the home of Forest Poland on December 19, 1942. There were seven members of the eighth grade class present, with Mr. Singer as our sponsor. The seventh grade was cur guests. The seventh and eighth grades had a party at the home of Mary Jane Gross on February 2, 1943, ,There were twenty members present, with Mr. Odle, as sponsor. The party was in honor of Harold Ballman who left the seventh grade. SEVENTH GRADE The Seventh grade had a class party at the home of Mary Jane Gross. Refreshments were served and several games were played. Mr. Odle was there but neither of the sponsor teachers were able to attend. During the scrap drive, Bob Graf, Harold Ballman and Max Kingery went around to the homes of the pupils in the seventh grade and collected scrap for which we received S11 for it.
