Mr. Buroker was our first history teacher and coach. ' 4 Mr. Gilbert was our science and agriculture teacher. ei if Mr. Buroker left to take a principal's job at Jackson and Mr. Phares ex, replaced him as history teacher. ,, W , Mr. Gilbert left for the Army and Mr. Odom taught in his place V C5 and ,was also coach, but his farm, duties needed his constant attention Y so he felt that he must take care of them. Mrs. Burolter took his place . Q: as chemistry teacher and Mr. Singer took over the agriculture classes. ., A At Christmas Mr. Phares left for a teaching position in Greentown. Wq.Li.:g. A He was replaced by Mr. Odlc, a young college graduate, who was also ' 'Mir' a coach. f Early the last semester Mr. Miller joined the faculty as seventh and ' eighth grade history, mathematics, and science teacher. . SCHOOL BUSES Due to the efficiency and regularity of our hack drivers, our stu- dents of Union High School arrive promptly each morning. Our bus drivers are: Mr. Kirkpatrick Mr. Everett Smith Mr. Ray Hill Mr. Virgil Hickman Mr. Arlie McGraw Mr. Arlie Farrington SCHOOL BUILDING Situated on a country road stands a brick structure surrounded by a fence of hedge. One's first impression is a lonely school house in the middle of nowhere. But if one were to know of its students and faculty you would soon rate this high school building as one of the greatest contributions to Union Township. We are proud of our school. COOK Mrs. L. E. Singer, our cook, has provided the students with warm meals each day. This service we appreciate. She also has served as substitute teacher when one was needed. She had taught six years before she was married. JANITOR Mr. Fred Little, our janitor, has very conscientiously fulfilled his duties to the school. Always busy, he has kept our schoolhouse very presentable. ll fi.. 4-
