611155 History The above picture shows the Senior Class of 1962 during our first year of schnoL Only 11 of these first graders temained to complete their twelfth year at Union Mills. They are Sam Satkoski, Elliot Werner, Edgar Schoof, Bob Werner, BobJustice, Edward Sherwood, Betsy Escher, Sandra Melts, Helen Clingler, Karen Dowd, and Maxgaret Sensow. In 1958 we started high school. There were 18 of us then. In our freshman year we were initiated. Our class sponsor that year was Mr. Arlan Mangas. Mts. Virginia Snavley was our sponsor during our sophomore year. Our class had a skating party and two class patties. We looked eagerly toward our juniot year. Mr. Richard Coppens was the sponsor for out junior year. Our class increased by two. Nancy Hagenow and Shitlee Brooks. As money making projects we sponsored two dances and had a magazine selling campaign. Our class treasury was also boosted by the profit from the candy store and concessmns at all the home ball- gamesi We had a great deal of fun preparing for and participating in our prom along with the other Juniors and Seniors from Hanna and Clinton. Fotour final year our sponsor was Mrs. Helen Vetkler. In the fall we had our Senior Play Mumbo-Jumbo , a S-act comedy, which was a huge success. We sponsored two dances and sold Kathym Beich's candiest Our most important project for the year was planning and working on the ANNUAL. As this year comes quickly to a close and graduation approaches, we anticipate the future with cagetness.
