PROPH ECY During the summer of the year 1970, I, Lorraine Cargenter, was lucky enough to get a check for one million dollars from the multi-millionaire. Mrs. Opal Yeage . Because I had always wanted to see other parts of the United States, I took the opportunity. I asked Ham Scarborough if she would go on the trip with me. Since she had just returned home from Reno, for the third time, she was glad to get away from it all. We left by the way of a beautiful private plane owned by the Novak Air Service. M Howell is the chief mechanic there, and he is also a test pilot. Mary Novak, of course, is the owner of the air service, and we were lucky enough to have her as out pilot for the trip. Our first stop was Hollywood. California. We accidentally ran into Betty Dowd, who had become a famous singer. She was on her way to a rehearsal. As we walked down the street, we saw Werner's Art Studio. We stopped in and found Ioanna Werner. She was getting ready to paint the portrait of the famous athlete. ean 5ghmigt, Brenda Memwas there visiting, also. grenda lives on a farm in LaPorte County, but she had to make a special trip to Hollywood to get materials and ideas for dress designing. We found Barbara Nablo at home with her family. She had become one of Hollywood's most expensive beauticians. She told us she had just designed a new-type hair cut for Jeff Chandler. She also told us that Dave Werner was in Alcatraz. Strangely enough, Melyin Allemis the warden there. Next. we flew to San Francisco. ,1 9m We :11 was at the harbor. He is expertly trained in agriculture and had come to San Francisco to check up on the produce being shipped to Hawaii. although he lives in Union Mills. on a farm. One of the ships was ready to leave when we noticed that oe Satkoski was the captain aboard. We went to Beverly Hills to see Howard Scarborough. We also found W He was talking to Howard, who is one of the stock-car racers that uses Bob's Otto Race Track. Next, we flew to Alaska. We found the office MW He owns a part of the gold mines. Betty Bowen, his secretary, let us in to see him. EELLBJatlinglzamwas working in one of the mines. We came back from Alaska and landed in the great state of Texas. We found the Lone Star Ranch, owned by im Sherwood. He had a thousand head of cattle and five hundred head of horses. He was having a new bunk house built and he called Dick Qoyer to plaster it for him. Dick plasters homes in the summer, and he teaches school on the Indian Reservation in the wintet. We flew across the Gulf of Mexico and stopped in Florida. We saw Margo Schogf, under water, teaching some beauties the art of being a mermaid at Marineland. From there, we went to Washington. D.C. IoAnn Beaty, as the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, was the head of the impeachment proceedings against the U. S. President, Don Potter. Mary Novak had to go back to the airport. so Harriet and I went back on the train. Latry Brust was also on the train. He was going to Union Mills to his farm. Since thete was only one member of the class we hadn't seen, we searched and found Nancy Molten still at home trying to decide what she is going to he.
