» Mr. Donald E. Morgan, Assistant Principal GREETINGS Congratulations! You have crossed the threshold which leads to a world of every endeavor. Look up at your goal. High is it not? Plenty of work, sweat, and perhaps even tears may be required to reach it. Before you enter the future, however, take a brief moment to look back. Look at your parents. Those wrinkles are there because they have worked, striven, worried and prayed to get you this far. Those smiles and looks of pride are there because they can almost picture you in your dream positions. Now look at your teachers and all the other school staff members. Those hopeful looks are there because they know that they have put a lot of time and patience in the shaping of your future. Now take a final look at this structure. Within these walls for four or more years you have studied, learned, cried, played, danced, and braved the tough roads. Remember not so much the bad times, but the good, happy years you have spent within these walls. Soon you will leave this building. You will never be a part of it again unless you return as a member of the faculty or staff. Now turn and look forward. There lies the future. The empty spaces repre- senting doctors, lawyers, educators, politicians and clergymen can be filled by you. ' Have you got what it takes? I, therefore, challenge you, not only to fill those positions, but to excel in them. Make yourself a star in your chosen field. Make your parents, teachers and friends proud of you. Being a p art of both of your worlds, I extend to you two-fold congratulations, for I straddle the tiireshold. Congratulations for completing your education at this school and then congratulations on your ability to enter this, the world of your future. Remember, this is your hfe, your future, live it well. jo n JAxyj-- 13
