This may be because of his interest in aviation, which is tirst and foremost among his many hobbies which include skating. swimming, cycling, Woodcraft, travel. and sailing. He graduated from Horace Mann G. S. in North Bergen and since then he has been kept busy with his high-school activities which were Vice President of Class '35. H. M. S. Pinaforen llistory Forum '37, County Chorus '37, JOHN MAHMARIAN Meet john . the football player of our class. Ile graduated from Horace Mann School, and hopes to go to N. Y. U. He has been interested in all sports during his stay here. He was a mem- ber of the History Forum. ADELAIDE PAGLUIGHI .Xddie , another of our very small but very nice seniors, is a graduate of Roosevelt School. Despite her size she manages to cover as much territory and have as much fun as the next senior. Swimming and horseback riding are her particular hobbies. .'Xddie's home for the next four years will be St. Elizabetlfs College where she will study journalism. PHILOMENA MORANO ls known as Rita's twin, always together. She graduated from VV'ashington Grammar School and is going to Pace Institute from here. She is the quiet but very eflicient type. Wfas a member of the Dramatic Club of '35, '36, Language 'Club '35, '36, History Forum '37. ALFRED J. LAUF Goody Gumdropsu graduated from jefferson School. ln Union Hill, he is not onlv well known for his athletic achievements but also for his pleasing personality. He is the fellow who can't get angry at anyone. Alfred played varsity foot- ball in '36 and '37, and was on the wrestling team of '35 and '36. Alfred intends to become a business man when he graduates from Union Hill. HOVVARD LEBER Leber, alias Skippy , is another quiet one in our midst. Skippy desires to be a minister and we all hope he succeeds in achieving his goal. During his time here, he has been Captain of the junior Police, a member of the Language Club. Dramatic Club, and History Forum. Howard likes swimming and photography. GLADYS NICHOLSON Is another of 7-3's girls. Modest, quiet, and efhcient as a typist. HaPPY is set for business after her visit at Union Hill High School. She originally came from Franklin Grammar School. Her hobbies are tennis, skating, bicycling, swim ming and dancing, and oh! how she can play the Fife! Her nickname is Ed . She is interested in in- terior decorating and her hobbies are stamps, reading, travel and drawing. She has been a mem- ber of the Art Club '35, Dramatic Club '35, '36, Language Club '35, '37. History Forum '37. PETER MARESCA Live Wire graduated from U. S. Grant School in N. IX. Ile is of medium height and is very friendly with everyone. Peter has a variety of hobbies, camping, radio, and rollerskating are some of them. Peter is the student who plays the re- cords for the dances in the gym. He is a member of History Forum and Stage Crew. Live XVire will study to be an electrical engineer after he graduates. GABINO MOLINA Gabino was born in XVest Virginia, and spent his boyhood days in Spain. He graduated from Roosevelt Grammar School. He is called Gabby for short and is interested in radio and stamp col- lecting. He is a member of the History lforuni '36, Dramatic Club '34, and Language 'Club of '35, '33, '37. Gabino will go into the electrical business when he graduates. ROSE PITTARI Looks like a lovelv Spanish Senorita, Her hobbies are quite varied for a Senorita-Tennis, swimming, football, and dancing.
