MARTHA E. HAPPELL If there is one reason why Marty of Roose' velt is one of the bestliked girls, it is propably due to that fact that she has the most even-tem- pered and amiable manner that one may have. Vice-president of the English Club, and treasurer of the Girls' Glee Club, a member of the History lforum, Art Club, and Language Club. a member of the cast of Pinafore .... all these activities prove what a valuable asset Marty is to us. She will study fashions at a School of Design. VVILLIAM HARDENBERGH Bill , graduate of Roosevelt School XVec- hawken, is another of the newcomers to the ranks of eleven three, but with his amiable manner and sense of humor, he has become one of us. Bill is the fellow whom we all haunted, pestering him for our pictures a few days after we had them taken. He intends becoming an aeronautical engineer. He is a member of the History Forum, Language Club and Dramatic Club, plays in the band, and is a member of the Photographic Staff of the O. and li. His hobbies include tropical fish and model airplanes. GEORGE JENNE Step up and meet Jenne , ladies. He came from Roosevelt Grammar School and is going to Pace Institute from here. VVe hope his record will be as good as it was here. His activities: Class President '36, '37, Secretary of Orchestra '35, President of Student Council, History Forum '37, '38 Hobbies: Rowling. Basketball. RUTH G. HARMSSEN Ruthie is a rather quiet individual from Roosevelt School, who has, in the course of four years. managed to win herself a warm place in Uniou's life. An ardent camera enthusiast she can be seen at her leisure snapping pictures for pos- terity or somethin' '. She will continue her studies at college. Her activities have been numerous and varied, Student Council, president of the English Clubg member of the Senior Math Team, president of the Girls' Glee Club '35, member of the Art Club, Biology Club, History Forum, and Language Club, Senior Play '37. ROSLYN S. GREENBEHG Rozzie , a Jefferson graduate, is the fortunf atc possessor of the happy combination of sound common sense and a good-natured disposition. However, in the presence of Lee and Dot , the former qntality gives way to the latter. She has been a member of the History Forum. English Club, Dramatic Club, and liiology Club. Dancing is her main interest, but journalism is the mark at which she is aiming. ARTHUR GRUBEH Artie , a Roosevelt graduate. is recwgnizcd as the class-punster. He has the gift of seeing the brighter side of all situations. He is a member of the Language Club, History lforum, German Club, and Art Club: he is also a charter member of Union's band. After he gets his sheepskin from New York University, he wants to marry some sweet damselle. Ahhh!!! ln most of his leisure time he can be found Iishing' in some babbling' brook. JAMES HALL James, who is tall, and good looking, graduated from St. Johns School in Cliffside. llc is a mem- ber of the History Forum and has been on the junior Prom and Senior Reception Committees. Jimmy is interested in game hunting and is well read on that subject. lie intends to become a business man after he graduates. JOSEPHINE GRIGLIO Josephine, another quiet girl with a pleasant personality, is next in line. jo graduated from joseph Hrandt School, and hopes to become a nurse. DOROTHEA H. JAMESON jamie whose lirst alma mater was jefferson School, is a member of that giggling trio of Mar- ty, Evy. and Jamie . She is the humble possessor of the bad habit of singing during Physics Lab. She refuses to tell her hobbies. but admits that fishing might be one, and yachting another. She has been a member of the Language Club. Dra- matic Club, History Forum, and English Club: Class Treasurer, Senior Play '37. She will enter Swarthmore, Pa. JOSEPH KAUFMANN joe to all of us, is next, He will be rcmem bored for his tennis playing. joe has graduated from Robert lfulton School. He has been a mem- ber of the History Forum, Echo Board.
