'7Ae Zddffcd .23 B The Union XYilcleats suffered a dismal basketball season. Under the new coach. Mr. Richard Harris, the Cats installed a new system, turning from the run and go game. to a more slow and deliberate form of ball. The team lost three first stringers by graduation in 1951. The first five composed of john Taylor and john Trimble, forwardsg Trevor jones. een- terg and -Ioe Roth and jim Clark, guards. ln the early part of the season Max lloaglin also saw a lot of action. Rex Roth, John Myers, and llarold XYortman. freshmen. played often in the role of substitutes. Ohio City came out league champs without losing a contest. Wlren, XVill- shire, and lloaglin-jackson tied for second. Union won only one league con- test to tie for the cellar with Ridge and York. Next year the XVildeats will have eleven uf the tourney twelve reporting for the '52-'53 season.
