It was the first centralized school in Van Wert County and for a number of years accepted students from what is now the Hoaglin-Jackson school district. In 1936 the addition of a modern gymnasium and auditorium was coinipletedl Part of the old gymnasi- um was remodeled for a shop. In 1940 another reniodeling took place to ac- commodate both elassrooni and shop fora vocational agriculture department. Shruhbery has been added and we now have a school of which we are justly proud. SFHUOL SONG With our banners waving ever, U. H., U. H., Rah. We will always fight forever, Uniong Union: Rah, Rah, Rah, Rah. We will always wave the banner of our dear old' school. We will always light, fight, light, for that s our rule.

'7Ae waded Zin Memoriam Agnes Bauer 1922-1933 William McCoy 1922-1938 We the class. of nineteen hundred forty-one do hereby pay tribute to two former classmates, Agnes Bauer and Billy McCoy who during our school days have gone to their infinite peace. Agnes left us while we were in the third grade. Billy said good-bye in our freshman year. These two dear classmates left their impressions not in presence, books and things, but. in the hearts oif the many classmates with whom they came in contact. We all mourned their passing yet are assured that they will live in our I11GI11OI'lQS. On the fair pages of this book Two names we fain would trace, As memory recalls to us, These well-loved schoolmates' faces. Though scarce embarked upon life's road. Death beckoned them away! But in our hearts they are enshrined, These friends. lovable and gay.
