WILDCAT GIRL RESERVES All thirty-two members of Un1on's Girl Reserve Club are proud of their organization. And why shouldn't they be? We have a very good advisor, Miss Miller, and the officers are splendid. The club has been very active all year. Officers were elected as follows at a meeting held last year: President, Mary Davisg Vice President, Mildred' Basilg and Secretary-Treasurer, Virginia Stripe. The first Saturday night in each month is Girl Reserve night at tlhe Y. W. C. A. in Van Wert. On October second the Union girls were hostesses. In the afternoon we made carameled apples which were served at the party. And the Christmas part.y was very enjoyable with tlhe Snow-Ball dec- orations making the occasion more effective. Skating, dancing, and games have been entertainment at these parties. The Girl Reserve recognition service for the installation of new meni- bers was held on December twentieth. All Girl Reserves and their mothers were present. The candle service was very impressive, with new members taking the Girl Reserve pledge and lighting their candles. from that of the president. A program under the supervision of Eloise Miller was held, and Miss Barbour, Y. W. C. A. Secretary, gave a short talk. A project during the year was giving five cents per member toward the support of a Chinese girl for one year. Mrs. Stripe suggested this project to us. During the year each girl had a Peanut Sister, a secret pal who was re- membered on birthda.y anniversary, Chistmas, etc. On February ninth the Girl R.eserves gave a one-act comedy entitled What Husbands Don't Know, in chapel.
