Pictured here ore the four senior class officers: Seated is Jule Smith, secretary. Standing are: Kathy Smith, Vice-President; Richard Wood- ring. President; and Bab Wilson, Treasurer. They are at rest at the left, but all year they could be found constantly moving in order to keep things running smoothly in the Senior Clast. They devoted a large part of their year so that the whale senior group would benefit in its final months as a doss. These are probably the first and last moments that a group of 150 people begin to realize that their days as a class are numbered. At this time of the year we stop and think of all our trite problems, of all our first loves, and of all our ac- complishments. These few lines cannot contain all the unforgettable experiences and emotions. We were so very young when we began in 1959. Most of us started back in the Scotland buildings. We shared little boy and little girl feelings with each other through the greater part of our first six years. Though we were immature, the delicate little fragments that would make us into a class had started to develop. In the fall of 1965, we made the great move from the elementary to the junior high school. We pulled together from many other schools and formed the Class of '71. We participated in intramural sports and followed our school teams to the end. In 9th grade, we demonstrated our athletic awareness as we went to Pittsburgh in basketball playoffs. Near the latter half of 1968, we stepped across to the Senior high wing and firmly implanted ourselves after nine years of hard work and decisions. We elected Jim Mastropietro as President; Bernie Lepri as Vice-President; Kathy Smith, Secre- tary; and Keith Taylor as Treasurer. We sold Sophomore Sweets and started uniting the funds that we would need in our next two years. Soon we became Juniors and we competed not as 150 individuals, but as a single unit. Our class officers were: Bernie Lepri, President; Kathy Smith, Vice-President; Richard Woodring, Secretary; and Jim Mastropietro, Treasurer. We were very successful with our Magazine Sale. With our funds, we produced a play, called U.T.B.U. , and we sponsored the prom Romeo Juliet for the Seniors. We had to overcome obstacles, but the Prom was held and with great success. And then the fall of '70. There we were, after eleven long years, preparing to finish out our career. The days came and went, but all too fast. We presented the Sr. Class Play, Our Town , which displayed the various talents of a large group. We planned for our graduation, senior trip, and All-Night Party. We proved in our last few months that we were worthy of being called a class. And now our year is almost at an end. All that we have learned and retained must now begin where our high school education ends. Each of us takes with us not only 12 years, but the experiences of those multiplied by 150. Here we separate, but we will always have these years—to think back and remember. M Kathy Smith
