Consisting of twenty-tour girls from freshman, sophomore and junior classes, these girls have practiced daily to be one ofthe best choral groups ever in Union. Among their activities were assemblies, parties, the Junior Class musical comedy and Commencement.

Although camparatively small in number to the bands of previous years, this ambitious combination of music makers has participated actively in assemblies, concerts, football games and parades. Mr. Walter Polley-his first year at baton waving since his return from the Army-deserves worthy praise for the organization and direction of the 3l members.

Original cheers, distinctive uniforms, and that vivacious Let's give a Union locomotive are all characteristics of this year's cheerleading group. Winners of the l946 Sectional Cheering Trophy, these girls have cheered victories and losses throughout the year. Daryl McGinnis head cheerleader deserves praise as she ends her fourth and final year of cheering. Included in the senior class, Deloris Moorehouse, Blanche Sadaly, Betty Anderson and Dorothy Shuttlesworth rate a thank you for a job well done. Heading the cheerleading group of next year, Dolores Myers will continue to carry on the good work she has done thus far. Having worked together for three years, these lassies have set quite a mark for future cheerleaders to reach.
