V019 EC? of EAZ CALM of 1 7 Having recently completed a world wide tour, we deemed it advisable to make a report concerning the Union High alumni graduating with the class of 47. Following are the details of our journey which began in the inanimate city l?l of Boggs Run. Here we found Hap Storm and Jerry Fisher indus- triously running their partnership auto garage. Jennie Falova lfugitive from Riggs-Lamarrl has a steady job-she puts waves in Storm's hair! Upon reaching Benwood we discovered Angelo De Crease, with assistants Charles Beecher and Bill Gulden, busily producing competition for the Boggs Runners as they build the De Crease De Lux super service station. ln the newly constructed Benwood Telephone office we find chief oper- ator, Maisie Metz, directing her squad of girls, among whom we were pleased to find Dorothy Supan and Willa Elschlager, operating Glendale lines only, while Marg Svrcek and Stella Grombka work side by side, comparing bits of conversation that they just happened to overhear. Also hard at work at the switchboard were Margaret Kramer, Gerry Lucas, Josephine Banaski, and Virginia Klug. The lone long distance operator was Lois Riedel. Our journies took us to Baltimore, Md., where at John Hopkins hospital we found those world famous doctors, Elmer Gardner and John McAninch, with their assistant nurses, Helen Danielson and Kathryn Webb. From Balti- more we traveled north to New York City where we were startled to find in one of the massive buildings the Exclusive Dress Shop of Rose Ann Cianfa- rani. All clothing offered for sale in this charming shop is designed by Deloris Moorehouse. While in the east we read of the oncoming light-weight title bout, be- tween two well known pugilists under skillful promotion of Mike Jacobs, boxing commissioner and decided to see the fight so went to New York. Upon entering Madison Square Garden we caught sight of Joe Kibert and Carl Rakoskie, trainers of match contenders Robert Bartsch and Nick Renzella. While further doing the town we chanced to drop into the Cotton Club where furnishing the music of the evening, were Johnnie Canestraro's Man- hatten Maniacs. Trumpeter--Frank Mele, drummer-Gene Elliott, trom- bonists-Robert Coleman and Regina Burley, pianist-Alvin Tegarden and Vocalist-Pauline Judge, who incidentally, is still being pursued by Tea . We hope this pursuit won't be a case of Love's Labor Lost l Writing features for the New York Times were Daryl McGinnis and the former Mary Ann Gallagher, now Mrs. John Storm.
