0 ' jimmy That friendly smile, that open heart and that helpful way of Mrs. Eula McBride, school secretary, makes us sorry to leave Union. All through the year she has brightened the office with her ever cheerful smile and words. We, the class of '47 wish to thank Mrs. McBride for all her under- standing and helpfulness throughout the year, and feel that she truly expresses the words of that popular song You Are My Sunshine.

You have had some rough spots because none of us are perfect. That which will linger in your memory though will be the beautiful melody of the fine experiences and associations. The life of a school administrator would be an unhappy one, to say the least, if it were not for the pleasure and satisfaction of seeing these young people grow and develop from gangling year- lings to sophisticated seniors. I know l shall treasure a host of these pleasant memories of your school days here and I sincerely trust you will, too. Cod speed to you all.
