Class of ’86 Eighth Grade Since they had one year of Burgettstown High School under their belts, the eighth graders began the year with a certain amount of experience and seasoning. As president, vice-president, and secretary-treasurer, respective- ly, they chose Julie Stumpff, Tina Boni, and Ray Dorsey. As expected, eighth graders traditionally begin the year in a situation that is somewhat of a mixed blessing; they have enough exposure to school life to know what’s expected of them, but they still have to prove that they can assume their role and carry out their duties. This year’s eighth graders showed that they were up to the task. They performed well in sports and other school-related activities. They show signs that next year they should be quite capable of leading the junior high and that in the future they will indeed be a class for others to try to match.
