By means of our scholastic and extracurricular activities, each of us has obtained new knowledge of ourselves and of the world. Everyday communication with our friends and teachers has also shaped our lives and aided to our maturation. One way we can express this communication is through a yearbook. Consequently, the Union High School Yearbook Staff is proud to have been able to record for everyone's memory this important 1973-74 school year. As a great amount of work goes into the production of the yearbook, we would like to show, through proper acknowledgement, our appreciation to all those who have helped us. First of all, we extend special thanks to Miss Rita Meister for her patience, guidance, and encouragement as advisor and Mr. Bernard Magirl for his assistance as the yearbook representative. Secondly, we would like to acknowledge the role of Mr. James Brcckman as photographer, Karen Quader as business manager, and Skip Alrutz as student photographer. Also, we would like to give a special thanks to Mr. Jack Creighton for his photographic assistance. Lastly, we wish to extend our gratitude to the administration and faculty, the advertisers, the patrons, and the student body for their financial and co-operative support. For the chorus, which is under the direction of Mrs. Carol Williams, is especially for those students who are in- terested in singing either for fun or professionally. The wide program of the chorus this year included the formal Christmas con- cert as well as the very light Pops concert.
