oolball From the kick-off to the last minute of the games our football team played exciting games. Though the team had the handicap of losing many players from last year's squad. they were 11ot discouraged. Thanks, fellows, We really enjoyed the games. The student managers this year included: Mar- ion Malone, John Blaine, Jackie Brunner. To earn a letter a player must have participated i11 half of the games play- ed in the season. Seniors who have been out for football the three previous years also receive lette-rs. Lettermen for this year are: Jim Bertolotti and John Melton, Co-captains, Regis Friday, Tom McGraw, Gus Diamond, Tony Standish, Dean Ronnnes, Wade lluckwalters, Joe Fernandez, Ray XVest, Ed- ward Kortyna, Tony Pappas, Boh Arnold, George Pugh, George Metalic, Char- les Metalic, Manuel Martinez, Bill Diamond, Frank Certich, John Boni, Ivan Vujanick, Marion Malone, Mgr. Wade and lvan were two freshmen who WOII their letters this year. Coach Ray Ronco came to Union this year as head coach of our football team. Although Mr. Ronco was faced with a beginning team he had a very successful season- He was ably assisted by Coaches Ed. McClusky and Harry Colesberry.
