Frank Austin The Freshman Class of 1950 started out with twenty-two scho1ars,three ofwhom dropped out leaving a remainder of nineteen. Many of this class participated in the sports of U. H. S. Those taking part in basketball are Grace Calder-wood, Katherine Carver, Frances Guyette, Sandra Richards, Sandra Morine, Robert Newbert, Richard Harford, and Keith Burns, with joan Knight fforwardj and juanita Upham fguardj taking the highlights. Student Council FIRST ROW: Paul Leonard, Dwight Howard, Mr. Kenoyer, Frank Austin. SECGID ROW: Phyllis Wentworth, Edric Day. The Student Council, made up of two Seniors, one Junior, one Sophomore, and one Freshman, is elected each year by the different classes. The main idea of the Student Council is to promote better understanding between the student body and the teachers and to straighten out problems which might arise during the year. The Student Council has supervision of the Freshmen Reception, and selecting movies. Officers elected at the first of the year are: President, Paul Leonard fSeniorQ Secretary-Treasurer, Phyllis Wentworth fSeniorQ junior Class Representative, Esten Peabody Sophomore Class Representative, Edric Day Freshman Class Representative, Frank Austin Faculty Advisor, Mr. Kenoyer 13
