Mr. Duffy’s Classes The person in charge of the music department at W.C.U.H.S. for the 1986-87 school year was Mr. Duffy. Mr. Duffy not only taught music oriented classes such as advanced band, beginning band, jazz band and choir, but he taught consumer math as well. Thus he was a very flexible teacher. Mr. Duffy also found time in his busy schedule to have a pep band, he was also the musical director for the musical Sing Out. Sweet Land, presented by the local community theatre group. 1. Mr. Cutter’s Classes Mr. Cutter was a new teacher at W.C.U.H.S. last year. He taught History, Globle Studies and Basic Math. Mr. Cutter graduated from the University of Oregon in 1982. He then went on to live in Sun Valley, Idaho, and then back to Bend, Oregon. At Bend Mr. Cutter taught at Bend High School. He also coached football, skiing, and track there. Mr. Cutter moved to Maupin last year. He said he moved to Maupin because he had an opportunity to be the head football coach here and because he was familiar with the small town atmosphere, being from Eastern Oregon. Mr. Cutter's hobbies include sports, bird hunting, and spending the summer at a family cabin at Wallowa Lake. 1. Mr Culler worked hard making grades out. 2. Mr. Cutler coached at the football game along with assistant coach Mike Lawson 3. Mr Cutter lectured. 4 Mr. Cutter answered students' questions. 5 Mr Cutter gave instructions to the class. 8

Mrs. Froemming’s Classes Mrs. Froemming was a versatile teacher. She taught Spanish. Biology, and Physics. She's been known for being a creative teacher. In Spanish her students constructed paper mache heads during Halloween and Pi-natas during Christmas. She got into the spirit of the school with her witch costume at Halloween. 10 1 Mrs. Froemming exhibits her true self on Halloween 2. Patti Johnson paints a class project in Spanish. 3.
