DEDICATION The 1981 Yearbook is dedicated to Miss Sandra Wong (L) and to Miss Donita Huskey (R). We would like to extend our thanks to these two very special teachers. They started teaching at WCUHS the same year the graduating class became Freshmen. Miss Wong, with her seemingly never ending patience, was there to help those blowing their minds to try and understand Linear Algebra and Trigonometry. When it would come time for the Mother's Tea, Miss Wong would be there trying to organize all the girls' unleashed energy, to create a program that included something for everyones palate. Miss Huskey may have second billing, but is by no m is the alternate dedicatee. Through her magnificent coaching, our girl's sports has reached an all tin high and has remained there. In the art room she has cultured many a budding artist into creating great” artworks. The girls of the school have been kept in shape by Miss Huskey’s P.E. program. Miss Wong and Miss Huskey would like to take this opportunity to leave the class of 1981 these thoughts. “Perhaps the most valuable result of all education is the ability to make yourself do the things you have to do, when it ought to be done, whether you like it or not. This is the first lesson to be learned.” Thomas Henry Huxley, Miss Wong. “A 'loser' thinks there are rules for winning and losing. A 'winner' knows that every rule in the book can be broken, except one — be who you are and become all you were meant to be. Which is the only winning game in the world.” Miss Huskey. 1 rv %
ADMINISTRATION When in the years to come we think about our experiences on the wards of the Waso County Home for Wayward Waifs and Wellwom Wiseacres. I know we’ll all remember with relish the endeavors of that masked man” who made his debut on our cafeteria stage and the chicanerous capers of those coffee cake “crumbs who pilfered the particulate pride of our Home Economics room, and the breath-taking antics of our “gas house gang whose reaction to cafeteria cuisine gave new meaning to science fiction. But more than all of these, we’ll remember the faces of the waifs and wiseacres themselves and this will give us cause to be proud to have been a part of what the year held for us. By Mr. Newton Mr. Willard. Supt. Principal Parmen, Deputy Clerk 3
