Box 347 Maupin. Oregon UNION HIGH SCHOOL I IN MEMORY BRYON BUSCHKE will be remembered in many ways by people, but to me he was a Football player. Bryon lived to play Football. If he had regained consciousness he would have apologized for missing practice. He was a tireless worker on the field and in the weight room. Bryon tried hard to become a skilled performer. He possessed a rare quality coaches call “heart. It’s a desire to win so great that it makes the player keep pushing and trying until he wins out. Bryon was the center of our defense, because we all knew he would be there to rally around when we needed him. The fact that he lived so long after the accident that look his life showed the spirit we all knew was there. That spirit rubbed off on many of his teammates and friends. That will make BRYON BUSCHKE live in their memories long after the pages of this annual are yellowed with age and a new generation of athletes follow in his footsteps.
