MARY SMITH “Girl of the Decade” 1968 - 1977 Mary, dedication of this annual to you is not in recognition of the physical and mental strain of your Girls' League leadership. Never mind the wind, the cold, and Who's going to help me sell concessions this week? with no replies. Never mind the repeat of this for making sandwiches to serve players after basketball games. Never mind the organization problems of the Mother-Daughter Tea. Never mind all these hours; they were donations and not so important. Your job was teaching math, and for the student with trouble adding and subtracting, you built confidence and an ability to cope; for the college-bound, you gave a foundation for the lab and classroom that has withstood the weight of the modern technological age. It is for this the annual is dedicated. Thank You, Mary!
