The Sounds of Union Tlie slam of locker doors filling the halls with confusion after a summer of desertion . . . the stampede of junior and senior high school students as they rush to their next class . . . . . the incessant voices of 600 students as they relay their experiences to their friends . . . the sweet melody of Silent Night being sung by the choir at Christmas . . . the exuber- ant cheers of fans after the team wins another game . . . the solemn quietness as students are inducted into National Honor Society . . . the deafening blast as the rock band plays the newest hits. These are the sounds of our school. But ihey are also the sounds of the relationships between the students from both Indiana and Ohio. These sounds, plus many others, help weld these students from different backgrounds and two states into one cooperative student body. These sounds are The Sounds of Union. Table of Contents School Life 4 Organizations 16 Athletics 26 Academics 38 Album 50 Advertisements 88 Trojan fans boost the team to a near victory over Liberty. The Made in U.S.A. provide music for sock-hops. With three minutes between classes, students mob the lialls to set to them on time.
