The Girls Athletic Association started the school year by traveling to Oxford Bowling Lanes. After nine weeks of bowling they continued their activities by playing volley- ball with other schools. Volleyball season was followed by basketball and trampoline skills, hi the spring the club started Softball games. The club is sponsored by Miss Dorothy Hall and officers for 1969-70 were Cindy Kirkpatrick, President; Peg Vereker, Vice-President; Pat Dicken, Secretary; and Pat Widau, Trea- surer. 22

Row Three: Vickie Schwegman, Becky Woodruff, Kim Fox, Diana Sizelove, Stephanie Gully, Bob Hensley. Row Four: Rick Roberts, Mickey Roberts, Jill Kline. Pat Dicken, Pat Widau, Rhonda Renyer. The Future Teachers of America was given the opportunity to tour the campus of Miami University for the March meeting. Other meetings included a bake sale, a Christmas dinner at the home of Mrs. Holl and FTA day in April. On FTA day the club members took over several classes for teachers they had been helping during the school year. A light breakfast was also prepared for the teachers and flowers given to them. Mrs. Jeanette Roberds was a guest speaker at one meeting when she discussed the Ungraded Primary with the club members and the faculty guests. Officers for the 1969-70 school year were Janet Cornelius, President; Brian Brookbank, Vice-President; Brenda Curry, Secretary; and Peg Vereker, Treasurer. Booster Club Council Sponsors Dance Seated: Mike Smalley, Cindy Kirkpatrick, Mr. Ashvvortii, Joyce Stearns, Kay Rosenberger. Standing: Joanna Powell, Rick Crane, David Johnston, Dean Van Winkle, Jerrolyn Bourne, Darrell Bruns, Jay Brattain, Kathy Hensley. The Booster Club Council began its annual membership drive in October and ended its drive with 1 25 members. To raise money for the club the Council sponsored a dance Cupid ' s Dream , featuring the Cavaliers. The Coimcil also helped to organize a bonfire and pep rally to open the basketball season. Officers were President, Cindy Kirkpat- rick; Vice-President, Mike Smalley; Secretary, Kay Rosen- berger; and Treasurer, Joyce Stearns. The Booster Club was sponsored by Mr. Richard Ashworth. Union ' s Boosters and fans express various emotions at the game between College Corner and Liberty. 23
