FHA Prepares Supper for Faculty Front: Mrs. Gragg, Student Sponsor, Sharon McLaughlin, CoHette Thobe, Su anne McCreary, Ada Taylor, Sandy Mc- intosh, Jennifer Major. Becky Rosenberger. Row Three: Melissa Mallo, Cindy Kirkpatrick, Pam Hornung, Pat Dick- en, Gina Giffen, Kay Rosenberger, Shannon McDonough, Peg Dicken. Row Four: Brenda Curry, Pam Miller, Brenda Stelle, Joyce Stearns, Carolyn Montgomery, Linda Nixon, Stephanie Gully, Jill Kline. The Future Homemakers of America began the school year with the initiation of new members. These ceremonies were conducted in the barn at the Kirkpatrick residence. After that the club met once a month with such programs as hair styling by Miss Debbie Brack, a Union alumnus. Mrs. Rosa- lyn Sheets demonstrated cake decorating to the club. The annual Easter Egg Hunt, sponsored by the FHA, took place in the Town Grove for community children. The club also prepared and served a supper for the Faculty at the March meeting. A St. Patrick ' s skit was presented to the Faculty at the end of the program. The club was sponsored by Mrs. Sue Thompson. The officers for 1969-70 were Suzanne Mc- Creary, President; CoUette Thobe, Vice-President; Sandy Mcintosh, Secretary; and Ada Taylor, Treasurer. 20

Band and Chorus Present Winter Concert The Chorus and Band members combined efforts this year to present many entertaining programs. The cliorus sang at a UCA meeting, for several convocations, and joined the band for several programs. The band also played for most home basketball games. Both groups are under the direction of Mr. William Rayer. FTA Tours Miami University Front: Mrs. Holl, Sponsor; Peggy Vereker, Brenda Curry, Brian Brookbank, Janet Cornelius, Suzanne McCreary. The Future Teachers of America was given the opportunity to tour the campus of Miami University for the March meeting. Other meetings included a bake sale, a Christmas dinner at the home of Mrs. Holl and FTA day in April. On FTA day the club members took over several classes for teachers they had been helping during the school year. A light breakfast was also prepared for the teachers and flowers given to them. Mrs. Jeanette Roberds was a guest speaker at one meeting when she discussed the Ungraded Primary with the club members and the faculty guests. Officers for the 1969-70 school year were Janet Cornelius, President; Brian Brookbank, Vice-President; Brenda Curry, Secretary; and Peg Vereker, Treasurer. Brenda Curry explains the day ' s lesson to the Biology I class during FTA day. 21
