SOPHOHORE BISTOHI In 1938, we started on our long struggle of studying under the supervision of Miss Zimmerman Our second year was guided by Miss Daugherty We were in the Christmas play that year Our teachers for the third, fourth, and fifth grades were Miss Helm, Miss Lynch, and Miss Kirker In the sixth grade we were divided and went from room to room downstairs for our classes Miss Turner was our tea cher in the seventh grade We were then in the eighth grade and upstairs for the first time Mrs Mable Stewart was our sponsor We gave a short play that year, 'The Modern George Wash lngton ' In our Freshman year, thirteen pupils joined our class from Blllingsville Our class officers were President, Jane Caldwell, Vice Pres Joy Watterson, Secre tary, Betty Hardy, Treasurer, John Weers, Mr Young was our sponsor We now are the Sophomore Class with only twenty one members, four of which well, and Don Brown We sponsored our first school dance and gave two one act plays before the high school FRESHMAN HISTORY Of the thirty now in the Freshman Class only seven have come through all nine grade! together They are as follows Jim Rinehart, Nancy McDonough, Mary Wilhelm Betty Caldwell, Bob Gilmore, Bill Cassidy, and Arnold Elliott Our first six grade fltw quickly by with laughs llckings , and fun with our teachers,M1ss Zimmerman, Miss Daugherty, Miss Helm, Miss Lynch, Miss Klrker, and Miss Turner, respectively The seventh and eighth grades were a little harder and they seemed to take a Little more work Now we are Freshmen with the addition of four boys who came from Billingsvllle They are Arnold Singleton, Clayton Franklin, Harold Stanton, and Charles Estes. Velma McCoy came from Cincinnati, Letha Ramsey from Jackson, Berna dine Walker from Vevay, Rhoads Richardson from D1xon,Douglas Davis from Brookville and Jack Rogers from Oxford We're just ugreen' freshmen as they all say, but we have the makings of some future notorious people : ., - have been together all ten years. They are: Nina Hurst, Betty Young, Jane Cald- I1 ll , , .
