DEDICATION MABLE VUNNS STEWART Vrs Ste' rt was born near Fair Haven, Ohio and came to College Corner 1 early childhood She entered the first grade of school in the old Ohio building, where she attended for six years At the end of that time the Ind! na and Ohio schools vere united as the Union School, with grades one to six taught in Oh1o,and grades seven, eivht, and nine t ught in Indiana Nrs Stevart attended the Indiana side, nd when the first Jnion School bulldinv was comoleted she entered grade eight and was later graduated from Union High School She oxallfled by examination for teaching and began immediately She taught two vears in Franklin County, and one in Union School thus was followed by substitute te ching some of each of the following fifteen years During World War l she taught one and one half years in Preble County This was folloved by thlrtv years 'n the Jnion School, and it maves a total of fifty eight years as nun1l,subst1tute, or teacher in the College Corner system Mrs Stewart was graduated from Vlsmi Unlve sity vita a B S deg ee in fdu cation and has had some additional work from Indiana University and the University of Florida She is a member of the National Education Asaoc4nt1on, Indiana State Teachers Association, Ohio Educational Assocl tion Anerican Association of Uni educational duti s she is interested in the rellaloxs and s cial affairs of the community she is a membe of the Presbyte lan Church, C T U Ohlana Literarv Club, Priscilla Club, Carden Club a F and S Cl Mrs Stewart has enioysd teaching and the a socla o of children, esoeclally with those of the Junior High groun By cu liflcatf n she sill be el'g1bl tire at the close ol the 19LQ U9 school vear but bones to continue her interests through observation Through the medium of this edition of the Ohianian she desires to exnress her aooreciation and thanks for all favors and for the cooperation on the Dart of tre children, co TQPCFPIQ, oarents and officials of the College Corner Union School Board in addition best wishes are exnressed for all affairs in any way connected with Union School - -o - Jn- . , . . 5.
